Eric Joseph Furse

Eric was a loving husband, a kind and honest man, and a true gentleman. He was fascinated with insects from a very young age and acquired quite of collection of butterflies and insects over the years. He became known as a very knowledgeable entomologist, often giving talks on the subject. He loved classical music and opera, was creative and artistic, and enjoyed painting. He was a keen jogger in his earlier years, and completed the London Marathon in 1987 at the age 58. He was a well respected mason, belonging to several lodges, which played a very important part in his life. In his later years he developed Parkinson’s disease which frustrated him, as he could no longer continue with his love of painting. He was a very special man and one I will miss greatly.
